Suprapubic Training Model, White

Brand: Adam Rouilly
SKU AR341

Skills

  • Suprapubic catheterisation is becoming an increasingly common alternative to urethral indwelling catheters, and can be undertaken by practitioners and nurses in many healthcare settings
  • Training away from the patient is essential to ensure that practitioners feel confident and competent to carry out the procedure.
  • The suprapubic catheterisation model allows the practitioner to feel the normal pressures exerted by the abdominal wall on catheterisation
  • Allows the practitioner to understand the average length of catheter required to be inserted in order to drain the bladder

Features

  • Model offers anatomically correct vascular anatomy of the right upper thorax and neck including the internal jugular vein, brachiocephalic vein, subclavian vein, axillary vein, carotid artery, subclavian artery, and axillary artery, as well as anatomical landmarks including the clavicle, the two heads of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, and the sternal notch

  • Points of access include IJ, subclavian, infraclavicular and supraclavicular approach as well as access via the axillary vessel

  • Arterial pulsations can help users differentiate between arteries and veins

  • Two arterial pulse configurations are available:

    • ABP114 GEN II CENTRAL LINE ULTRASOUND TRAINING MODEL WITH TRANSPARENT INSERT AND AUTO PUMP (this model)

    • When the integrated Auto Pump is plugged in the arteries pulsate automatically

    • ABP115 GEN II CENTRAL LINE ULTRASOUND TRAINING MODEL WITH TRANSPARENT INSERT AND HAND PUMP

  • A simulated SVC accommodates full threading of guidewires, dilators and central line catheter placement

  • Venous and arterial fluids that are removed during central catheter insertions training are easily refilled using EasyFill port™

  • Users can run intravenous fluid for constant refill of vessels during training.

  • Positive fluid flow in the vessels provides users with immediate feedback when vessels are accessed

  • The simulated blood fluids in the arterial vessels differ from the venous system allowing for users to easily differentiate between successful and unsuccessful venous access procedures

  • Performs well using any ultrasound imaging system
